Note d'application:	Síndrome caracterizado por disfunción del sistema nervioso central asociado a FRACASO HEPÁTICO, incluyendo las derivaciones porto-sistémicas. Las características clínicas son letargia y CONFUSIÓN (que frecuentemente progresa a COMA), asterixis, NISTAGMO, reflejos óculovestibulares vivos, postura de descorticación y descerebración, ESPASTICIDAD MUSCULAR, y reflejo plantar en extensión, bilateral, (ver REFLEJO DE BABINSKI). Note d'application:

A syndrome characterized by central nervous system dysfunction in association with LIVER FAILURE, including portal-systemic shunts. Clinical features include lethargy and CONFUSION (frequently progressing to COMA); ASTERIXIS; NYSTAGMUS, PATHOLOGIC; brisk oculovestibular reflexes; decorticate and decerebrate posturing; MUSCLE SPASTICITY; and bilateral extensor plantar reflexes (see REFLEX, BABINSKI).
